Our web host for OutrightUSA.org sent us a code for $50 in free Microsoft adCenter ads, so we thought we'd give it a try.
We came up with the following ad:
Hillary or Rudy?
Must gay voters settle for one of these
anti-marriage choices? Nope.

This ad was rejected by Microsoft's editors as "hate speech-related content." The interesting part is that the keyword "lesbian" seems to be what set off the alarms.
Either Microsoft has outsourced its editing to people with such a minimal grasp of English that they flag anything with the word "lesbian" as hate speech, or...
Microsoft opposes equal marriage for same-sex couples.
Gosh, I hope it's not the latter.

Considering the number of race-based scholarships funded with Microsoft money, their opposition to gay causes does not surprise me.
